Steph Mason, BFA, PTA
Steph Mason’s oil paintings center around the creative use of colour to enhance the beauty and meaning of the subject depicted. While the image is created in a realistic way, there is a dream-like quality to the final result. Her animal portraits are based off of an emotion that comes through in colour choice and subject matter. Her landscapes are like a memory of a place - representing the restorative way being in nature feels. She has done many pet portraits as well, including CARA’s Samson. Steph has completed a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Arts and Design (OCAD) in the Drawing and Painting Program. She is currently represented by Nancy Johns Gallery and Framing in Windsor and has participated in a few shows at the Art of Emotions Gallery in Toronto (current show “She is” running from April 21 to May 6).
