Ruth A. Driedger - Visual Artist

Canadian artist, Ruth A. Driedger, grew up on a farm outside of Wheatley ON.  After living in Saskatoon SK for 26 years, she returned to southern Ontario and currently lives in Leamington.

Having spent 30+ years as a choral music conductor, Ruth transferred her creative energies to painting in 2006.  Aside from a drawing class in university, she is self-taught.

Her acrylic paintings include a variety of subjects, ranging from still life, florals, landscapes and lake scenes to people and pets.  Her artwork invariably tells a story or reflects lived experiences.

Ruth’s art has been displayed in a variety of venues in southwestern Ontario, including the Leamington Arts Centre, Arts Society of Kingsville, Art Windsor-Essex Gallery, the Mary Webb Centre in Highgate, ON, The Studio Art Gallery in Dresden, ON, and the Art & Heirloom Shoppe in Chatham, ON.

Ruth gladly takes commissions of people, pets, places or whatever your heart desires!  Contact: rad019@yahoo.com

Artist Statement:
My work is rooted in symbolism, memory, and quiet moments of reflection. I paint familiar images as visual metaphors – pathways, gates, skies, and objects – to invite viewers to pause, feel, and find their own meaning. My hope is that the work remains accessible and open, allowing each person to connect through their own experiences and stories.

    Let it go!
