Welcome to this exciting spring 2025 issue of Art Create Learn magazine.

It’s an absolute pleasure to share ACL’s latest creative offerings from local artists and writers. This issue highlights the theme of order & chaos. Little did we know how apt this dialectic would be when we first devised a plan for the Spring 2025 issue.

Since the beginning of the year, many of us have resided in the space between order & chaos – our lives in flux – as we travel back and forth along the spectrum, sometimes nearer to chaos and at other times closer to order. Neither position remains static for too long.

While our personal lives seem to reflect this dynamic so too do current societal shifts. Rather than order and peace, chaos and disruption permeate the socio-political & economic climate here in Canada, the U.S. and worldwide. When events are unfavourable, we clearly experience the ripple effects of chaos, even though many of us strive for a certain universal balance – a system of order, understanding and cooperation. Let this goal be the order of the day.

In these uncertain times, may you find some joy and inspiration within these pages as the artists and poets seek to share their vision of what it means to be human in the face of opposing forces.
