Meet the Jury

Cover Art Contest · Fall/Winter 2026

We’re pleased to introduce the three jurors who will be reviewing submissions for our Passages & Portals Cover Art Contest.

Each brings their own experience, perspective, and connection to the arts. We’re grateful to have them helping us select the artwork that will become the cover of our upcoming issue.

Margaret Fong

Margaret Fong has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business. Her background in film studies  and biology evolved into a deep interest in contemporary visual art and culture. She is currently owner of Villa 92 Eatery & Cultural House in Tecumseh, Ontario where she runs the kitchen and is a co-curator in the exhibition space. 

Suzanne Konyha

Suzanne Konyha is a visual artist and retired arts educator. Over her career, she taught both children and adults in her home studio. She also taught in the public elementary system through the Learning Through the Arts program (now Arts Can Teach), combining art education with other curricular subjects.

Suzanne is primarily a painter but works with a variety of materials, creating works that are often a hybrid of painting and sculpture. Her practice continues to be informed by Windsor’s post-industrial landscape. She has exhibited her work both regionally and in the United States.

Chris McNamarra

Christopher McNamara (AKA Middlesex) is a teaching professor in the Department of Film, Television and Media  at the University of Michigan. He has shown his work at a number of galleries and festivals in North America and Europe and is held in a number of private collections.  He is the recipient of numerous awards from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council. He is currently co-curator at Villa 92 Eatery & Cultural House in Tecumseh, Ontario where he also roasts coffee beans and sometimes makes the wontons.
