Donna Peltier

Donna Peltier is a Southwestern Ontario digital artist originally from Windsor, Ontario who began creating on her iPad in 2011 when a workplace injury made it too painful to hold anything. She has created hundreds of images each year and prints her work to canvas, paper or other goods.

Donna finds that digital art allows her to create in a way that matches the flow in her mind and interests in so many areas. Her work expresses her fascination with trees and nature, but Donna is equally drawn to mid-century modern and geometric creations. Donna also likes to add whimsical critters as a throwback to her childhood and loves to make digital collage by combining elements from her own works.

Donna is largely self-taught. Teachers told her as a child that some people had the talent to be an artist but she wasn’t one of those people. Wandering through crafts and photography, Donna graduated from Sheridan College in Applied Photography.

Early influences include Georgia O’keefe, Andrew Wyeth and children’s illustrator Graeme Base.
